I've always been a fan of Halloween-themed cartoon shorts. Anything from either the black and white version of the classic Skeleton Dance, to the Disney Donald Duck shorts.
So for your Sunday morning, why not ease into the day with a cup o' joe and this short film entitled Howie's Haunted Halloween Nightmare.
Though the short was created in 2011, it's in the vein of the Steamboat Willie days of the 1920s and '30s with the artist using a mix of technologies: hand painted in ink and acrylics and animated in Flash.
I think the artist really paid homage to the animation that's come before and you can see winks to Disney and the aforementioned Skeleton Dance. Heck it's even a cautionary tale to not over-eat your Halloween candy before going to bed.
I mean... we've all been THERE, right?
... Oof. Candy Corn. Why have you forsaken me?
