We Halloween Addicts are living a pretty good life these days.
We had the animated film ParaNorman come out in August reminding us of when we were young and enamored with monsters.
Then we got the animated film Hotel Transylvania at the tail end of September reminding us how much fun Mad Monster Party can be in the new millennium, and how Adam Sandler isn't that bad when confined to Count Dracula.
But today we get the Grandfather of Goth: Tim Burton's, feature-length film Frankenweenie from the company with the mouse ears about a boy who loves his dog so much that he'll attempt to raise him from the dead to continue playing with him.
Don't worry, it's more Beetlejuice than Pet Sematary, I'm sure.
The ultimate irony of this release being that not only is the film in black and white and done in old-school stop-motion animation, but the original short was poo-pooed by the very studio that's releasing the film.
Sweet, sweet artistic justice.
One of the cooler things to come out of the marketing machine are these vintage-looking monster movie posters. Free for download HERE through the films official Facebook page, there are six in all for you to download, print and hang on your wall, locker, kitty litter box, dog house, whatever.

I've been loving all these great Halloween movies this year. Paranorman is #1 for me so far, but I haven't seen Frankenweenie yet.
Love these posters :-)

Mal: Yeah it's been a bountiful (plentiful?) time for spooky-themed animation. Loving it.
