The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror Volume 2!

Back in October of 2009, I did a post on the 1st The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror collection to be offered on iTunes and Amazon (you can read all about it HERE).

In that post I wished that the genies at 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment would continue to release these compilations.
Well, who knows when that wish was granted--- because I just discovered it TODAY--- but low and behold a SECOND Treehouse of Horror collection has been released!

Half Way to Halloween: FearNet's Easter Surprise

The good folks at FearNet are doing the Halloween Addict's work by sending out a fun little video on Easter weekend that does nothing more than remind us that we're HALFWAY TO HALLOWEEN!

In FearNet's words:
"Easter, shmeaster. Keep your peeps and your egg hunts - we're busy counting down the days until the return of creepy costumes, carved jack-o'-lanterns and 24 hours of Trick 'R Treat on FEARnet."
I couldn't have said better myself, FearNet.  Watch the video HERE.  (Caution, contains a little gore.)

It's great to see a horror network keep track of our favorite holiday AND put good ol' Sam from Trick 'r Treat in a bunny costume.
Also great to hear that they're embracing Trick 'r Treat (the ultimate Halloween movie) by running it for 24 hours straight for a 2nd year on Halloween day.  Take THAT It's a Wonderful Life!

Everyone!  Raise a Cadbury Creme Egg to FearNet!  Huzzah!
[slurp]  ...Holy cats, that's sweet...

Invitation Idea: Envelopes Sealed with a Spider

You've heard of things sealed with a kiss, now feast your eyes on envelopes... sealed with a SPIDER.

The next time you send out your Halloween party invites, you should get medieval on your envelopes by making a blood red wax seal with spider smooshed in it.  Hence:  SEALED WITH A SPIDER.

The Zakkalife blog has a quick write up on a so-simple-it's-easy trick for some envelope-sealin' flair.  Check it all out HERE at Zakka Life
Too bad they're probably too fragile to slip in the mail.
I'd send all my bills like this.

Wedding Halloween

I've been finding a few more weddings that incorporate Halloween subtly into the nuptial festivities.  Oh look!  An opportunity!  I'll share one now.

For instance THIS wedding on Style Me Pretty is called "Halloween Antique Santa Barbara Wedding."

The reception took place on Halloween night in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA.  Looking at the photos there isn't too much Halloween in the "Halloween Antique Santa Barbara Wedding" (which I will now refer to as HASBW).  Some oranges in the flowers and the date itself.
Then I hit the pic to the left of the brown trick or treat bags with witch and cat stenciled in black.  Reading a bit further it seems the ingenious couple had a handmade candy treat table and the stenciled bags were to load up before heading back to the table or your room.

Check out the gallery at StyleMePretty.com HERE or read up on the wedding itself HERE

Up Your Costume: Mortal Kombat-Inspired Ninja Hoods

If you're a fan of the Mortal Kombat videogame series, then today is a jubulous (a word I just made up) day!

For TODAY marks the day that the simply titled "Mortal Kombat" is released for PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.  Some would call it a "reboot" but I'm going to call it a "return to form."  Less silly Animalities, multiple rib cages and Friendships and more fighting, fisticuffs and Fatalities.

I have MY copy and will be fighting my way through the minions of Shao Kahn as Scorpion... my favorite character over these 19 years of playing this franchise.

Ok, exposition out of the way, what's this got to do with Halloween, you ask?

New Zombie and Scarecrow GhostFace? SCREAM 4 Opens Today!

It's been 11 years since Scream 3 closed the trilogy, and 15 years since Scream reinvigorated a dying genre, but never-say-never in horror because SCREAM 4 hits the big screen TODAY.

I'm not going to write a review, namely because I haven't seen it yet.
BUT even if I HAD, Halloween Addict is about Halloween!  Well when a costume is trademarked "The Icon of Halloween" by the company who makes it, I think that's something to be noticed.

Zombie Pumpkins' April Fool's Joke: Invisible Man Stencil

In the past few years April Fool's Day has become a day when many a website puts up some sort of false information masquerading as a prank.

Though I enjoy the display, I believe there's enough misinformation out there to not warrant adding more.  So to partake in April Fool festivities I'll just focus on one non-damaging chuckle I garnered surfing around the wide, wide world o' webs.

Zombie Pumpkins, makers of fine jack o' lantern carving stencils and patterns posted a FREE downloadable pumpkin stencil entitled "The Invisible Man."

The site goes on to hail:  "A great pattern choice for novice carvers." and the difficulty rating is "Absurdly simple."

I've already carved 7 of these in the time it took to write this.  Wait, no, 8... no, 9... 10... Jeez I can crank these out.

Kudos to your clever post, Zombie Pumpkins
