It never ceases to amaze me who decides to jump on the Halloween train. Candy? Costumes? Sure, they're regular commuters.
But who's this new traveler?
Avocados?!
Sure, Mexican Avocados. Climb aboard. All are welcome.
Mexican Avocados have a new Halloween promotion, website and contest!
Head over to THIS link and see what Avocados from Mexico has built:
A whole webpage dedicated to avacado-themed Halloween recipes, party ideas and even an infographic with Halloween factoids (only 26% of adults plan to dress up for Halloween this year. That's it?).
As for the contest, the flagship recipe seems to be something called "Spookamole"... which is just guacamole served spookily.
It's like the goatee-wearing evil-version of guacamole.
Enter the contest HERE for a chance to win $1,000.
The gist: come up with a spooky recipe using --you guessed it-- Mexican Avocados, snap some pics, name it and submit by September 30th. Grand prize is 1000 bucks, with four $250 winners.
The MexAv people (that's what I'm calling them for short), even went so far as to give you a coupon HERE for buy 3 avocados get 1 free to get you started on your scary recipe quest. What more do you want? They can't hold your hand while you stir!
Check out all the details along with more recipes, tips and that crazy infographic (24% of adults plan to attend a Halloween party. That's it?!) right HERE.

This makes perfect sense. Avocados really should be a Halloween item. They look unnatural and when mashed up they have a Tom Savini cheap prop affect.
Great post!
Well, that's a new one! Thanks for the tip - I might actually try for this.
