Come Halloweentime I always get excited to see which companies will jump on-board the Halloween bandwagon and embrace the holiday in their advertising.
As crucial as *I* think Halloween is the reality is that, unless you're a company that sells candy or costumes, most businesses don't NEED to have their advertisements tie into the season.
So when I found THIS LINK at SmashingApps.com HERE that had "19 Creative Halloween Advertisements" I took great delight in scrolling through what they'd compiled.
Not only were there repeat advertisers like Guinness and Snickers, but there were some surprises like the San Francisco Zoo (to promote their "Boo at the Zoo" program) and Comic Club.
I was also pretty impressed to learn that many of the ads are from all across the globe: Argentina, United Kingdom, Ecuador, Germany... for what I thought was an American tradition, I'm glad to see the spirit spread to the four corners of the earth (I say "four corners" but know that the earth is ROUND. Ha! Take THAT cartographers!).
My award for "Creepiest Print Ad" of the bunch goes to THIS ONE called "Mrs. Whithers" advertising Snickers.
It features an adult (Mrs. Whithers, I presume?) giving out candy to three kids who are wearing masks of--- MRS. WHITHERS!
Then the tag line in the corner "It's what you would want."
Smart.
Annnnnnnd terrifying.
I tell ya, between the "Mrs. Whithers" print ad, and last year's "Grocery Store Lady" TV commercial, Snickers is batting a thousand on creepy Halloween candy ads.
Check out the full list HERE and report back on your favorite.

I agree! Last year's grocery store lady commercial was our favorite here! So funny yet also with an undeniable level of creepiness!
Joe: Absolutely. Can't wait to see if they (or anyone else) can top it this year.
