Costume Idea: Action Movie Poster

Costume inspiration can be found in the strangest places.  For instance I discovered this costume idea while perusing the Pop Cap games blog. 
"Who's Pop Cap?" you ask?  Pop Cap makes the best so-fun-and-addicting-they-should-be-regulated-as-a-controlled-substance games that you've most likely played on your phone while on the toilet.

I mean that as a compliment.

Pop Cap has made legendary games like Plants Vs. Zombies, Bejeweled and Peggle.  Seriously, buy one and kiss your free time... family, friends... and productivity "goodbye."

Anyway on the Pop Cap blog, one of the employees designed his costume for the annual Halloween contest.  It's a simple but GREAT idea and just goes to prove the point that I always make here on Halloween Addict:  you can make a great costume out of anything, it just takes a little ingenuity and a few dashes of clever... all of which this costume has.
According to the blog post:

I turned myself into a live action movie hero poster for a movie titled “TRIMMER”. I designed a 3 x 4 foot movie poster, strapped it to my back with bandoliers filled with dummy bullets, dirtied my scruffy face up and equipped myself with a very heavy, but harmless, grenade.  I’m proud to say I won first place after a heated dance off with a diminutive Edward Scissorhands portrayed by the lovely Leah Clarin. Victory is mine!

The creativity, in my opinion, comes with the bandoliers that hold the poster to his back.
Part decoration + part function = all awesome.

If you start now you can use this idea as a base and modify this costume to add more creative touches.

How about integrating yourself into more of the picture?
Remember, the Die Hard poster only had half of Bruce Willis's face.
You could use tiny LEDs as spotlights and have a three dimensional Nakatomi building covering half your face.
Or maybe parody the Stallone Cobra poster?
The possibilities are endless.  (Ok, I'm sure there's an end, but who has the time to find out about infinity?)

Back to the original idea, I think it also helps the Pop Cap employee has a cool action-movie-sounding last name like "TRIMMER."
If I didn't know better, I'd guess that's a Statham movie.
"Jason Statham IS---- TRIMMER!"

I mean that as a compliment.
