What Percentage of Americans Have Their Birthday on Halloween?

Recently I finished taking an internet survey and was offered the "chance" to "win" some "great prizes" by answering a quick survey question.  Normally it's something along the lines of "How many American women have ever been to Hawaii?" or some nonsense that I usually click past, but on this particular day, the jack o' lanterns were smiling upon me as the question asked was:
"What percentage of Americans have their birthday on Halloween?"
There was a slider bar, and I was supposed to slide to the percentage I thought was the answer.
I debated this for a bit.  "Can't be that many, right?  I mean I don't think I know anybody with Halloween as their birthday."
Why I had this thought, I'm not quite sure because I know that I WOULD CERTAINLY REMEMBER SOMEONE HAVING HALLOWEEN ON THEIR BIRTHDAY.
But never mind my internal arguments.
At first I thought I'd be clever and pick 31% (because Halloween is on October 31st?  Get it?!?!  ZING!) but I thought a third of the population having Halloween as their birthday was a bit steep.
So I inversed it.  13%.  Seems like it's low enough.
The answer?
Well you can click the pic to make it readable for yourself or just listen:  ONE PERCENT.
That's it.
ONE PERCENT of Americans have Halloween as their birthday.
Now I don't know what the magic internet survey people used to find that number.  Heck I don't even know if I should trust it.  But I do.
Bottom line:  if you've got Halloween as your birthday you are RARE.
You're an Action Comics #1.
You're a Loch Ness monster.
You're an upside down airplane stamp.
Rare.

Wow, I agree with you. That is lower than I would have thought.

Cheers!

Am I living in the future?

The Frog Queen: Yep.
I probably should have added a question to see if anyone knows anyone with a Halloween birthday.

Necropolis: Yes. Yes you are. Live it up because the world ends on May 21st, unless you can get your hearse up to 88 miles per hour.
(Actually I'm trying to retro-actively fulfill my promise of a post-a-day for a year. Filling holes when I can...)

Darn, I missed being the Loch Ness Monster by like 5 days.... I was born on 10-26, and no - never known anyone born on the 31st. Weird!
