For the last several years The Simpsons annual anthology Halloween special called Treehouse of Horror has aired AFTER Halloween. Usually due to men throwing baseballs.
Although it's always vexed me that a HALLOWEEN SPECIAL was airing AFTER Halloween, its repeated delayed airing at least guaranteed this Halloween Addict one more evening of Halloween celebration the week after October 31st.
Well be careful what you wish for... you just might get it. And in a Monkey's Paw turn of events, this year's Treehouse of Horror XX--- that's the 20th Anniversary of the special--- aired BEFORE Halloween....... and I missed it.
Just today I began searching the web in anticipation of the November airdate, and then I saw Robert Canning's review up on IGN.com and thought "Oh god, no... It aired YESTERDAY."
BUT... thanks to the wonderful state of technology and the wide wide world o' webs, I have found it on-line LEGALLY on both Hulu and Fox.com.

The third act seemed to be pretty bad, but I really enjoyed the rest, which is strange for a NEW Simpsons episode. Loved the opening and the JOH1N1 spooky credit though. Hope they dig themselves out of the ditch this season.
It caught me by surprise as well! Luckily I have a 15 year-old who is a walking TV Guide, so I didn't miss it. :D
Space Kook: Yeah, to me, Treehouse of Horror episodes are like pizza... even when they're bad, they're still pretty good.
But, hey, it's a Halloween special that's been on for 20 YEARS so I'd say they've got pretty good batting average.
Halloween Spirit: Ahhh I miss those days when my brain could store the air times of most everything on television.
But now that I'm older... I have a TiVo.
Ugh, I missed it too - so I am especially grateful for the Hulu heads up! ;)
Yes, Yes thank you for the heads up on the Hulu. I can't believe I missed it!!! But like you said, I always expect it to come after Halloween. I'll have to go watch it right away!!
