M&M's.
There ain't no stoppin' the M&M train to Halloweentown.
When I was kid, they were the most banal candy colors imaginable.
You had yellow, tan (TAN??!! Has tan EVER been cool?), orange, black and brown.
That's it.
Halloween colors, sure. But boooooooring the rest of the year.
Now they're full of colors. Jack o' Lantern orange. Slime Green. Tentacle Purple. Black Cat, er... black. AND you can get them in HALLOWEEN color bags.
Orange and Black. Spread 'em on a caramel apple. Put 'em out for decoration. Whatever you want.
What else makes 'em great?
Can you say PERSONALIZATION?
That's right. Go to mymms.com and you can swap out that little "M" with a picture of a jack o' lantern! Or the greeting "Happy Halloween!"
Boy we live in some great times, eh?
Look around you people! It's Camelot!
Then there's the new commercial featuring none other than the one, the only HEADLESS HORSEMAN! You put the Headless Horseman in a commercial and BOOM, instant classic.
The Headless Horseman never goes out of style.
Lest we not forget the Addam's Family parody commercial for dark chocolate M&Ms.
Boy these guys have got their finger on the pulse of Halloween cool.
So the Halloween Addict award for Halloween candy MVP goes to: M&Ms!
Congrats fellas.
Keep up the good work Mars!
