Nothing makes you feel more old than your favorite movies celebrating decade anniversaries. One of my favorite horror movies of all time, John Carpenter's Halloween, is turning THIRTY this year. Cripes.Thirty years ago the boogeyman invaded Haddonfield!!!
THIRTY!
Taking place over the weekend of October 31st - November 2nd, the con boasts appearances from casts from ALL of the Halloween films (even Part III which isn't even part of the mythology)!
The last time they did this, was for the 25th Anniversary-- for which I had tickets and was unable to go at the last minute. I've been kicking myself for 5 years.
Looking at photos on Flickr from those who went last year, I was scathingly jealous. Props from the films... comic book con and t-shirt exclusives... the last appearances (Who knew at the time?!) of both Moustapha Akkad and Debra Hill... film screenings... a bus tour of all the locations from the original film, and more!
Check out the site at 30yearsofterror.com for all the deets. This even sold-OUT for the 25th Anniversary and tickets for this year's fest have been on sale since March so get in on it ASAP.
